You Have To Know
05:23
|
|||
You found a home wandering through the wilderness as if there’s no honor resting outside it, and yet you try to find peace as if there’s no such stability.
You have to know you’re on your own. You chose is so no one could ever have you to disown. You’re on your own to find what you have always known. There is a place for you, ‘til then you’re on your own.
You’ve made a bed everywhere but could not sleep, ‘cuz who can rest when all you ever have to do is dream? And you find peace at every little hope along the way, and you hope that maybe this time the peace will stay.

The Tempest
04:22
|
|||
You don’t know what, you don’t know who has got you down, has ruined you. You don’t know when, you don’t know why you felt that way. You don’t know how you never got a chance to say it, but you want so much more than that wretched place ever had in store.
And so you run and the tempest grows. No they’ll never find out. No, they’ll never know.
What you need is something new. You’ve already said there’s more life in you than anyone cared to explore. They’re all empty vessels to a crowded shore.
And so you run and the tempest grows. No they’ll never find out. No, they’ll never know.
You find it hard to see the truth when I say, “there’s so much life left in you yet.”

Years Ago
04:10
|
|||
Years ago I recount my father overlooking where I stood. He said, “See your girl? Now she’s just like any other.” He said, “Trust me son, oh the trouble she’s not worth.”
You better get out of here. I’ll warn you like the others. You better disappear before she makes you change. She’ll hunt you down and throw you out on the street where no one hears a sound, and she’ll see your pain, but she won’t do a thing. Get out while your hearts the same.
Years went by. I ignored my father. Oh the tangled web she’d woven just for me. It was beautiful but it functioned like any other. You can enter it, but your heart will never leave.
You better get out of here. I’ll warn you like the others. You better disappear before she makes you change. She’ll hunt you down and throw you out on the street where no one hears a sound, and she’ll see your pain, but she won’t do a thing. Get out while your hearts the same.
Don’t look back.
You better get out of here. I’ll warn you like the others. You better disappear before she makes you change. She’ll hunt you down and throw you out on the street where no one hears a sound, and she’ll see your pain, but she won’t do a thing.
Get out with your heart.

What Have I Found
04:01
|
|||
Oh sweet heaven, what have I found? She takes in light and breathes life out, and though I have no room in me, I must have her. She fits with me.
Oh sweet girl please take my rib from whenst you came, please take all them, so I have nothing in-between my heart and yours. Please take of me.
She fits with me when I have nothing left to give. She fits with me when all I have are jagged edges, and I feel my quest’s in vain. If I can’t have her then what is there to gain? She fits with me.
Now I wish that I might die just so she can try and give me life tonight. She fits with me.

A Feeling
03:57
|
|||
Why can’t you say I’m running? Why can’t you say I’m different too? Why must I sit and watch while they make a villain out of you? This world’s not made for settling. It was made to be let go. Break free of all these chains you’ve made and finally have outgrown.
Please wait ‘til the morning comes ‘round.
Oh maybe I’ve got a feeling this isn’t right. Oh maybe I know you’re leaving. Just stay through the night, and maybe we can work it out.
Why do you keep on running with these chains around your feet, always looking for the answer when you’ve always possessed the key? I’m never one for settling, but maybe you should know you’re content when you’re in prison but it’s me you should settle for.
Please wait ‘til the morning comes ‘round.
Oh maybe I’ve got a feeling this isn’t right. Oh maybe I know you’re leaving. Just stay through the night, and maybe we can work it out.
Oh maybe I’ve got a feeling your mind it made. Why won’t you listen to a single word I say? Maybe we can work it out.

Look To The Sun
04:17
|
|||
Dark closes in, and you’re westward bound, your back to the wind. Fate has a funny way disappointing you, leading you astray.
I know you don’t know where you’re going, but when you’re lost find me.
Look to the sun. The day has come, and the night is done. The morning’s waiting for you. I’ll be your light. You’re always in sight. In the morning I’ll always find you.
You don’t know what to say, always first to leave, never one to stay. No don’t run too far my dear ‘cuz every step you take is just one more to take back here, and I count the seconds.
I know you don’t know where you’re going, but when you’re lost find me.
Look to the sun. The day has come, and the night is done. The morning’s waiting for you. I’ll be your light. You’re always in sight. In the morning I’ll always find you.
And when you’re ready, you’ll find me. Look to the sun.
Look to the sun. The day has come, and the night is done. The morning’s been waiting for you. I’ll be your light. You’re always in sight. When you’re lost I’ll always find you.
